Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 cups mashed banana
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ cup chopped walnuts (Optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Cream butter in a large bowl. Beat in banana, molasses, and egg. Mix in both flours, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg. Stir in walnuts until well blended. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean, 55 to 65 minutes.
